In December of 2019, I received a very clear message:
THE HEALING THAT IS NEEDED IN THE US WOULD COME FROM OUTSIDE OF ITSELF. THE REST OF THE WORLD HAS MUCH WISDOM TO OFFER, AND HUMBLING ITSELF TO WHAT’S OUTSIDE WOULD ALLOW FOR TRANSFORMATION TO OCCUR.
Messages have been much more clear to me since then, but this one was clear.
What I saw was true both on the micro and macro levels – this was true both for the individual and the greater societal culture and collective.
This has been my lived experience since we left the United States in September of 2019. Healing, both for John and I, has accelerated beyond what I see as being possible had we remained in our previous lifestyle.
Removing ourselves from the consciousness and energy that we took for granted as “normal”, allowed us to become aware of how our environment had been influencing us. We have crossed paths with people and had encounters that have expanded us beyond what was previously available to us.
We are still in process. We are still healing. We are moving out of the boxes in which we were once contained. However, the path has been cleared for us to continue to see and release all that has not been serving us in our lives and move towards what will.
This is where my enthusiasm for supporting those to create their own moves abroad stems from. I know what it is like to have this impulse to do something, and be stuck behind the reasons why I believed I couldn’t do it. Through this journey that I’ve been on, I’ve seen how those beliefs were not reality, despite them feeling very real to me when they were blocking my path.
Through the podcast conversations that I’ve completed so far (podcast coming soon!), I’ve heard amazing stories of growth and transformation that have come through following the impulse to begin a journey into an uncharted life.
I truly believe we are here to (re)learn how to listen and honor our hearts. This is what my journey has and is still showing me how to do. The more I listen and honor what it has to say, the more it opens and more beauty about this life reveals itself to me.
